MCERA is an independent, not-for-profit organisation. The Centre seeks to raise the quality and availability of educational research that decision makers, teachers and the public receive through print, electronic and online media. MCERA distributes peer-reviewed research to the media on a broad range of topics ranging from the early years through to higher education and adult learning and facilitates access of education researchers to the media.
The MCERA Constitution sets out the objectives of the company and powers of the Board of Directors. The MCERA Board is responsible for all governance matters of MCERA.
All sponsors and board members acknowledge that MCERA staff are free to distribute the best available research, regardless of any commercial, political or personal interests, including those of any sponsors or board members. Full editorial control of all material distributed by MCERA rests with the staff of MCERA, with guidance sought from the Education Research Advisory Panel when required.
